I’m guessing that we’re going to have a bit of an adjustment coming to our senses with this move, seeing as the average “high” temperature during July is 68°F (20°C). I don’t know if anybody’s noticed, but that’s not particularly warm. Especially not to someone who’s from Southern California, originally, and who moved to the coolness of Northern California. 100°F (38°C) isn’t unusual for us during the summer. True, where we live we don’t get it that often, but that’s only because we get the good breezes. Just 10 miles away they’re getting up there for several months of the summer.
I’ve got some knitting to do … for myself, for a change!
I wonder if all that cold weather makes you burn more calories…. Hmm…. This could be a very good thing. 🙂
not only is is cooler, but it stays light outside until 10pm or so. that is what is amazing to me. more time for knitting…wool sweaters!
whadaya mean it doesn’t get hot?? 68 degrees is practically tropical ;0) Oh, and light until 10? try 11 pm around midsummer!

I seem to recall that it is quite windy too. Very bad on the umbrellas that you will need.
At least they make some fabulous wool sweaters over there, so I’m imagining the yarn is pretty amazing…
Well with all that wool you just bought you can knit yourself up something warm and fuzzy (well maybe not fuzzy but warm anyway). If you want to experience cold just come on up to Canada, after all I think most people in the States think we live in igloos year round 🙂 Mind you two days ago it was a scorching 41 C here and melted all the igloos!
on the plus side, the average low isn’t all that low {speaking from a northeastern US perspective} and thats perfect jeans + tshirt weather
