Stars rise in the perfect clarity of the sky.
The slide of the year, where we’re rising in darkness and returning home in the same, has begun. It’s not yet so bitterly cold that we’re hurrying through the streets (although we’re keeping up a darned good pace; it is nippy these evenings), so we’re able to pause, while scuffing our boots through the leaves (okay, only T. does that) and look around.
Sometimes the kindest way to look at the city is after dark, with eyes almost closed. And then, even in the ugliest neighborhoods, the old dame is beautiful.

It looks enchanting in your photos.
Very pretty! And T, I’m with you on the leaf scuffing. This time of year I love to come upon a pile of them on the sidewalk. It always makes me smile for some reason….
Awesome scenes. Love your photos.

Adrian always says that cities look better at night – it’s true.
