Scottish Blend Tea

When we were back in California for Christmas, we were forced to explain to people that Scottish Tea is just … well, Scottish Tea. Since D. had used the box to carry banana bread to class, we only had the teabags with us, carried in a ziptop bag. Well, our groceries have arrived, along with the proof that Scottish Tea is just that. It has a brand name, but you must search long and hard for it, eventually finding it located on the side of the box, about where you’d find a Kosher symbol or something.

The manufacturer is Unilever, and you can find more about the blend at the Scottish Blend website. What’s special about this? Well, it tastes different than plain old black tea, and different than English Breakfast tea (of course). And it comes in these pyramid bags. But … well, it’s just Scottish Tea, and it tastes good. We’re considering sending some back to California, when people back there run out. Just let us know – and let us know if you can find some, as we sure couldn’t when we were there.

  1. actually, the reason that they have a special blend for scotland is because the water is so much softer than in the south- or so i was told throughout my 5-year stay in edinburgh!
