We’re well and truly buckled down to our studies, but do occasionally poke our heads up to realize that Spring is on its way! There are clusters of bulbs poking their shoots up through the grass, everywhere it seems. The crocuses are all up and in bloom, with the daffodils soon to follow. The temperatures have been hovering about 8°C / 47°F for about a week, and the snow is long gone away. We’ve not had much in the way of rain, either.
The newscasters this morning told us that the nasty weather is coming back, in that uniquely UK way of referring to things: “we have lots of isobars coming in from the north.” Yep, isobars coming in. Do check out the definition if you’re curious.

Wait, you have lines on a map coming in from the north? *confused* The crocuses are so pretty though! I hope the better weather stays!
That’s always how it works – a spell of nice weather is followed by a spell of horrible, wet weather.
uh-oh, beware the imaginary lines….
Love this photo. We are weeks away from any purple crocus shots.
Glad you’re able to poke your heads up and enjoy the signs of spring.

Ooooo I’m so jealous! We are back into full winter here, freezing and snow!
Love the picture, so colourful 🙂
PS Even looking at the definition didn’t help me understand, lol!
At least the signs of spring are coming.
Snow predicted for us tomorrow 🙂
Hope the isobars thin out soon for ya!
Minus the cold of winter, I think it must be exciting to live in a place where you can literally see the marvel of each season as it begins and ends.
