Well, D has spent a lovely (so he says) few hours trying to figure out how to write software to talk to Flickr. He finally managed it, and put in some new organization for our pictures. Every picture is now in its own set by the day it was taken. This gives us a sort-of date-free look at what we were doing on June 13, for example. So, no matter what year it was, if we took a picture on that day of the month, it’ll show up with others taken on the same day. We’re trying to get all of our pictures organized, so that they don’t get lost in there amongst so many others. But we’ve found that it’s awfully fun to look back at what we were doing, previous years.
Shown here are all photographs taken on August 16th. As it happens, they are all from last year, which means they’re all of Glasgow. Enjoy.

I'm a little scared. But this will be marvelous, 30 years from now when you're trying to remember your Glasgow years.
I enjoy all your photos.
Interestingly enough, I also spent a couple of hours trying to organize my photo for my photo blog on Flickr. At the moment, my photos there are a hot mess. It will take some time to re organize. Ugh!

Um you could have just clicked on Archive. That allows you to view the photos either uploaded or taken on a specific day.
Chris: No, actually, Archive requires that you browse through each year separately. This way we have all years mashed together. It's a way of looking at the past which is less intentional, in a way, and more intentional in another: you don't have to go out of your way to say, "what was I doing on August 16, 2008," but you get shown that at the same time as all the other August 16ths. Make sense?
D – Will you be publishing said appendage to flickr for others to use? I think it would be fun to see what I was doing on a particular day and see how many of my "away" days coincide across years for example.
