Every morning we look out of our bedroom window, to see this wonderful little Smart Car. It’s a reminder that things are different, here in Europe. We don’t often think of Scotland as being in Europe, but this little car (or, should I say, “wee car”) reminds us. We’re in a world which values fuel economy, and has done so for more than a decade (as we saw Smart Cars when we first visited, in the 1990’s).

That’s the car I want! We do have a few smart cars here in Ashland, OR as this is a very ecologically minded community. Also I saw a semi hauling a whole load of them on the freeway a while back. Love the color and the car.

We have them here in Massachusetts as well, but not in great numbers (I think the Hummers eat them when their owners aren’t looking.)
