Today’s pictures are from Torosay Castle, on the Isle of Mull. It was such an incredibly bright day – particularly considering that this is Scotland! It rained the next day, of course, but this one day was just glorious!
Happy Shadow Shot Sunday!

What lovely historical shadows! I wish I could explore castles. I don't think we have any over here…
I love the shadows up the stairs.
It has always been a dream of mine to explore your beautiful Isles and to languish in their ancient history…beautiful photos!
Up the castle stairs
in fear and trepidation—
where will they lead us?
My Shadow Shots
The first shot on the left is my favorite! Antique elements, patina, chippy paint…all my favorite stuff!!
I love Mull, i haven't explored it enough! These are lovely photos, especially the shadows on the stairs….
Hey Harriet: That's actually lichen! No paint on that sandstone.
What fabulous shots! And a beautiful castle! Always love exploring them when I'm lucky enough to be in a place that has them! We're not known for castles here in the US, needless to say.
Have a great day!
Sylvia
I love the "orderliness" in these shots. For some reason the word "precision" comes to mind. And, I love the stairs leading to stairs shots as well… the endless stairs.
looks like a BEAUTIFUL place to visit!!!
Yes, lovely historical shadows. Love the photos. Glad you had a glorious day.
