In case you wondered, this is what music notes actually look like. If the people who ran Rosslyn Chapel would have let us take pictures inside, then you could have seen some of the same shapes carved into the woodwork of the chapel. We went back in 2008, when D. wasn’t quite so good at taking sneaky pictures.

We’re headed to Scotland in a couple of weeks and a day trip to Rosslyn Chapel from Edinburgh is on our list. How did I miss that I won’t be able to take photos inside? I’m definitely NOT sneaky about this sort of thing. Although I do have one of the dome in St. Pauls in London, taken quite surreptitiously at the end of Evensong one night. 😉
Kel, have a lovely time in Scotland! We’d planned to go this Spring ourselves, but the worst thing about changing jobs is trying to fit in a vacation before your time isn’t your own anymore. The chapel is gorgeous – and they do sell postcards with photographs on them, but it’s just not the same as taking your own pictures… bah!
