…but, fortunately, we have tons of wool socks and lots of blankets. That’s all T’s felt like doing, just snuggling into warm clothes and giving up on going out, seeing as lately the wind has been gusting into the 40 mph. range, and the weather changes on a dime — even faster than usual for Scotland. Bright sunshine gives way to sullen clouds in a minute’s time, and morphs into a hail stones rattling against the window seconds later. Trips to the market are taken in dashes; waits at the bus stop are shivery affairs that break into basking in sun-puddles.
T. woke this morning to the “wild uproar of the winds,” for the fourth day in a row. Feeling the need to heat the house, and with no excuse, really, to run the heater extra, she turned to baking — as we *needed* cookies and banana bread, after all.
Some mornings, one just has to make those sacrifices.

Best way to heat the house is with the oven!
enjoy the bread and cookies.

Heat & Sweets…really, no better combo on a chilly morning!
Hope you'll see a few weeks of true summer like weather!

Well done on finally getting to grips with our hideous climate.
Our garden is full of tiny bits of shredded leaves after last week’s wind.
