Somehow I don’t think there were too many kids in this playground yesterday. We had snow off and on all day, with a few inches actually managing to stick. Today was back to “normal,” with only a tiny bit of drizzle, but it’s dropped below freezing now, and expected to dip considerably below freezing in time for our morning sojourn to the gym. Through this very same park. We’ll see how it goes, but we’ll be wearing our crampons, probably.
Once again, no (creative) baking – just the oat bread. We get a new oven on Thursday, which should prove to be a good thing in that department, as I’m heartily sick of having to bake my bread ’til it’s burned on top, just to have it be done inside.
Does anybody out there know where to source whole oats here in Scotland (I mean uncooked, not rolled or cracked, just plain oats)? If so, please let me know, because we’re out, now, and forgot to order some when we were back in California (not that we had the luggage space for the 25lb sack, in addition to the 25lb sack of pinto beans).
We’ll hopefully be going out somewhere fun next weekend with Holler, but until then it’s going to be us, heads down, studying & writing.
Have fun with the new oven!
No one on the playground? Perfect time to go! Then photo the lonely feet prints.
Looks chilly! Hope you source the oats…after all it used to be a staple in Scotland. Woot! for the new oven. Makes all the difference to have an oven that works.
Thanks also for the link to Tinned Tomatoes..new to me and delightful blog.
