We just received notice, via automated email, that our visas have been approved, issued, and sent Next Day Air. So … that may mean it’ll show up tomorrow, or maybe Saturday, but it also means that – provided everything is OK with our passports and visas – we’re going back to the UK right on schedule!
It leaves us with mixed feelings, of course, because we’re leaving everyone behind again, and because there are so many of our friends whom we haven’t seen this trip. But we’re also happy to be getting back to our reading and writing, of which we have done incredibly little while we’ve been here. We’ll also be glad to get back to where the food and transportation are cheap, and the medicine is free. Being here, having sinus infections, and realizing that we didn’t have health insurance … was not a happy thought.
D. is spending the evening making pumpkin cheesecakes, just to try to get in that last little bit of food we’ve missed.

That’s great and you’ll be pleased to hear that temperatures are picking up a bit here, up to 12 degrees, why that is practically summer!
