The University has a lovely — and usually freezing cold — Memorial Chapel wherein there are weekly services of some sort and all manner of things going on, from weddings to Armistice remembrances. Every spring the Choral Society schedules time to do a concert in its lovely stone Gothic-ness, and this weekend we will be singing again with a full orchestra, strings and horns and organ as well. And you, dear friends, can attend!
We hope. While we’ve never tried this in the U.S., we know that the chapel has three cameras, that run all the time. They film all services — and the darkness at night, even. The program is at 7:30 p.m. here, this Sunday the 15th, which means it should be at 12:30 p.m. Pacific Daylight Time. We might be the size of ants, since the camera that has a close focus points toward the podium, while we’re on risers in the back, but at least you can hear us, if you’re of a mind to tune in for a while.
If you’re related to us, this is not optional.
We’re just sayin’.

Cool – choral espionage. Not too many times one gets to do that! Note to guests who attend in person: if you sit on a pew with a heater vent right below it, you’ll be toasty warm – perhaps even enjoy a hot flash.
What a cool idea!
Hope it works for ya.

I love chapels and churches, I am always in awe often find myself lost in thought whenever I visit, especially when there’s no one else there or just a sprinkling of people.
If I’m up I’ll be sure to tune it!
VERY cool!! (And gorgeous setting.) Will it be available later via podcast? I won’t be home when your concert’s going…
MY younger sister was married in this chapel. It is beautiful! And thankfully warm on that day in May.
Beautiful chapel. I hope to be able to catch the show.

I tried to watch it but it won’t work – damn this old laptop of mine!
when I tried to watch the show, I think I was too early. I meant to come back and try again but I forgot. *ugh!* I trust you all had a good time.
